MG RX-78-4 Gundam G04

Nice design, bad MG…

Assembled G04 last week, didn’t quite feel like reviewing it though, since it’s quite a disappointing MG in my opinion.

No inner frame, extremely limited articulation/poseability, weird fingers, an inability to hold weapons properly… Not to mention that I couldn’t properly assemble the shoulders, since the screws just won’t go in deep enough. Fortunately, there’s the extra white shoulder armor which cover up that part pretty well.

Articulationwise, this fella’s quite a nightmare for a MG. The knees only bend up to 90degrees, the feet are 1 entire piece with no joints,  the shoulders can’t go back and forth, and the elbow joints are very flimsy. Even more disappointing is the fact that G04 was actually released in July ’04, more than 2 years after the superior MG Guncannon.

 

To put it simply, MG G04’s good for display, but bad for fiddling/posing.
