SHfiguarts Kamen Rider Gatack
1-2-3… RIDER KICK!!!
If it isn’t obvious enough, the subject of today’s review is SHFiguarts Kamen Rider Gatack.
Gatack, otherwise known as KaGAAAMIII, is somewhat considered as the secondary Rider of Kabuto’s series. Yes, I know, he’s not the second Rider to appear in the series, but his role is pretty much that of the secondary Rider.
In the series, Gatack/KaGAAAMIII more or less served as a contrast to Kabuto/Tendou. While Tendou was calm/confident/egoistic, Kagami was less confident and competent, in a sense.
Like most of the Kabuto series Riders, Gatack’s based on the Kabuto base design. The only differences are the zecter, chest, shoulders and head. Other than that, it’s exactly the same figure. As such, he shares the exact same articulation as the previously-reviewed Kabuto.
Something to note, however, is that the 2nd release/1st reissue of Gatack has a mass QC issue with the eyes. Unlike the 1st release, this release has faded, fogged up pinkish eyes (pictured above). Not that big of an issue, but still a flaw nonetheless.
Accessories-wise, the only weapons included are Gatack’s shoulder blade thingies. Not like he has any other weapons anyway. These blades can be removed and wielded individually.
In addition to that, they can also combine into a scissors-like weapon (pictured below), as shown in the series.
1,2,3…
RIDER KICK!
On a side note, a suitably-sized Gatack Extender bike would be the CORM version. Though a bit on the large side, it fits SHFiguarts Gatack quite well.
All in all, Gatack’s a must-have figure if you’re a fan of the Kabuto series. You might want to wait for a 3rd release though, seeing how the 1st release has the bowlegged problem, while the 2nd release has the faded eyes problem.
Friggin ace dude! dear god that is AWESOME!
Nice, Gatack Extender! Looking real good there!
Thanks!
Great gallery and pictures! But how’d you do the picture where he riderkicks the Extender?
Thanks! I used very very very fine transparent strings for that :p
Awesome! love that metallic shine!
how do you tell what release a shf is btw?
There’s the 4dot system tampoed somewhere on the figure. 4 dots = 1st release, 3 dots = 2nd release, 2 dots = 3rd release etc.
am i seeing wrongly, but is Gatack’s “collar” a different blue from the chest/shoulder armor?
I don’t know, but that’s how mine is.
mine too. think its that way
