SHfiguarts Kamen Rider Agito

Ready to go, Count Zero!

Kamen Rider Agito,  from the 2001 series Kamen Rider Agito,  is the second Rider in the Heisei era. Design-wise, he’s quite simple compared to later Heisei Rider designs.

Articulationwise, Agito uses the same body type as previous releases like Black, RX and Kuuga. As such, he has the basic Figuarts level of articulation, nothing too special about it.

QC wise, mine actually had some paint chip on the back of the gold “collar”. Thankfully it’s at the back, so it’s not that noticeable. The paint is otherwise well-done, even on smaller bits like the gold on his belt.

Now, here’s where this figure disappoints. Agito comes with hardly any accessories. All he comes with is a spare face (not even a full head, just a swappable face), and 2 angry/raging hands. This is a very dismal accessory count, especially compared to its co-release, Another Agito, which came with a full extra head, and more pairs of hands. This might have been that Bandai actually spent more on Another Agito and less on Agito, since Another has quite a fair bit of paint. Then again, seeing how Agito Flame/Storm Forms were both exclusives, you’d think that Bandai could’ve been more generous with the regular Ground Form. To make matters worse, the angry/raging hands don’t allow Agito to fully reenact his pre-Riderkick pose.

All in all, Agito Ground Form’s a good figure, other than the bad choice of accessories.

i have no idea what Bandai was aiming for with the Agito line. making his other forms exclusive, giving Ground form such pathetic hands…

It’s the typical Bandai logic. >_<
