Gallery/Review: SHfiguarts Kamen Rider Ketaros

“Neo-ZECT will be crushed.”

One of the 3 Movie-exclusive Riders from Kabuto’s movie, God Speed Love,  Ketaros is a remold of Kabuto. As such, his SHfiguarts rendition is likewise a remold of SHfiguarts Kabuto. Basically, the only new parts are the Ketaros Zecter, his ZECT belt, remolded head, and the new right shoulder (shared among the 3 Movie Riders).

Accessory-wise, Ketaros comes with optional hands for different poses, his Zecter, and the Kunai Gun in Kunai mode. Not exactly a lot of accessories, but that’s pretty much all Ketaros requires.

Designwise, Ketaros is very show-accurate, being a faithful rendition of his onscreen costume design. Paintwise, Ketaros is painted in a nice shade of bronze. To make him more accurate, Bandai has made his armor matte, unlike Kabuto who has glossy metallic armor. The eyes are also very well done, and the green goes pretty well with the bronze on him.

Now, on to the flaws. Ketaros’ right shoulder armor severely restricts his right shoulder’s movement, a problem shared with Caucasus and Hercus. Not a huge problem though, since Ketaros doesn’t really lift his arms up too much anyway. A greater issue I had with mine is the notorious “bow-legged” problem. My Ketaros, being the first-release version, has his legs bent oddly, making standard standing poses very odd and ugly. However, it’s not that apparent with other poses.  The final problem lies in the plastic tray; mine is shaped such that putting the figure back into the tray pops his neck off his torso. I’m not sure, but it could possibly lead to a deterioration of that ball joint.

All in all, Ketaros manages to stand out from Kabuto despite being just a remold. A pretty fun figure, I actually got him before getting Kabuto.

Exelent photogallery, and an equally exelent review.

I personally think that Ketaros is underrated.

Probably has to do with him being a simple Kabuto remold.
