RAH-492 Kamen Rider Faiz

Open your eyes for the next Faiz.

A review of the rather recently released Medicom RAH Kamen Rider Faiz/ 555.

As stated above, this is a review of the Medicom Faiz, which was released sometime this year.

This is my 1st Medicom, so I had no idea what to expect of it. I’ve been keeping away from the PBM/Medicoms/RAHs generally, simply because I’m always worried that the inner body will break eventually, meaning that a load of $$$ went down the drain…

Fortunately, Faiz exceeded my expectations. Faiz is an accurate representation of the on-show costume, right down to tiny details like the belt, the eyes, and the extra 555 gear.

RAH Faiz comes with quite a fair bit of accessories: a lot of extra hands, 3 Faiz Phones (1 in gun mode, 1 in phone mode, 1 in buckle mode), a Faiz Pointer, Faiz Edge, Faiz Shot, and 2 Faiz Mission Memories. Everything is accurately detailed, and even the Faiz Mission Memories are intricately moulded and painted.

What makes this RAH even more impressive is that everything is quite functional, so as to say. The Mission Memories do fit onto the phone, Faiz Shot and Faiz Pointer like in the show, the Faiz Shot slots into a compartment on the left side of the waist, and the phone is actually mounted onto a hinge thingy such that his henshin pose can be reenacted.

What I really like about this figure is the head. Namely, the eyes. The eyes are textured exactly like in the show, and it looks really good. (Yes, I’m obsessed with Rider eyes. :D)

The costume itself consists of quite a few parts. There’s the bodysuit, the chest armor (with the shoulder armor attached to the inside of the chestpiece itself), the helmet, lower arm armors, kneepads, lower leg armors, feet, and removable hands.  All that’s lacking is an actual head inside the helmet, other than that, it’s like a shrunk down Seiji Takaiwa wearing the costume.

The inner body features pretty good articulation. However, I didn’t dare to pose it in more extreme poses due to the costume restricting the joints. That, and me not wanting to accidentally rip the bodysuit apart or something…

Faiz wielding the Faiz Edge.

RIDER PUNCCCHHH!!!

“Say cheese!!!”

*removes phone*

<<Burst Mode>>

<<Exceed Charge>>

*Yes, even the soles are detailed.*

Even though Faiz’s a great figure, I wouldn’t particularly recommend him, unless you have lots of money and aren’t the kind who worries about breaking stuff.

Wow… in some of the photos, I don’t think I would even be able to tell that it was a figure! At some angle, the figure looks really real!

Yeah, it’s pretty much a shrunk down Faiz. The bodysuit hides all the joints pretty well.

As for the size… Here’s a comparison with SHfiguarts W:
      Faiz

It’s around 32cm tall, meaning that it’s how tall a in-scale SHF Kamen Rider Arc (from Kiva) would be.

Thanks for the size comparison photo ^^. Wow… it’s even taller than the PG Strike… haha this thing is just about Dollfie size 😀

Yup, it’s gigantic. I think it’s the largest single figure I have so far.

Didn’t realize that Medicom RAH’s THAT huge. Too bad I don’t have space for stuff that tall in my shelves.

Anyway, that’s a great gallery. Love your posing for Faiz! What camera do you use, may I ask?

    • December 4, 2010 at 12:50 am

      I use a Smart Brain Camera. 😀
