SHfiguarts Kamen Rider Caucasus
Add to the color of my rose. The red blood of a traitor, and your tears of humiliation.
Kamen Rider Caucasus, like Hercus and Ketaros, is a movie-exclusive Rider from Kabuto’s movie, God Speed Love.
Designwise, Caucasus pretty much shares the same body as Hercus/Ketaros, who’re in turn remolds of Kabuto. Hence, there’s really nothing too special about his design. Also, he shares the bowlegged problem that the initial Kabuto releases had.
As shown above, Figuarts Caucasus comes with his trademark blue rose. That said, he comes with no other accessories apart from the rose, and extra optional hands. This makes him a rather boring figure in terms of posing choices. Then again, he never did use any weapons in the movie, so I guess it’s show-accurate.
Two other accessories are included: the Zecter on his wrist, and the Hyper Zecter on his belt. However, his Hyper Zecter utilises a different mold from the one included with Figuarts Hyper Kabuto.
As expected from a Figuart, Caucasus has pretty good eye detailing.
A close-up of his Hyper Zecter.
Poseability-wise, Caucasus has the same poseability as the standard Kabuto-series Riders. Articulation is pretty good overall, but the abcrunch is limited due to the chest armor.
Admittedly, Caucasus doesn’t really have lots of good poses, seeing how he did pretty much nothing in the movie and appeared for just 6 minutes in total. He did, however, reappear in Chou Den-O Trilogy’s Episode Yellow as one of Diend Complete Form’s GEKIJIOBAN summons…
… and actually performed a Rider Kick in it too.
All in all, I wouldn’t really recommend Caucasus too much. He’s a good figure and all that, but I can’t help but feel that something’s lacking in him. He’d probably look better with Hyper Kabuto’s bulkier mold, since his suit actor’s Jiro Okamoto.
