MG RX-77-2 Guncannon
Just a quick review/ gallery of my newly assembled MG Guncannon.
When I first got MG Guncannon, he wasn’t exactly my first choice, so as to say. I wanted a MG RX-78-2, but didn’t have enough money for that, so I ended up getting Guncannon. Surprisingly, I ended up liking him pretty much. The Guncannon I got is part of the 30th Anniv Campaign, and came with the bonus clear runner for the clear parts.

The kit’s actually pretty simple, nowhere as complicated as the MG Freedom. Freedom took me around 4+ hours to complete, while I only took around 3hours with Guncannon.
Articulationwise, Guncannon isn’t too bad. He has all the basic articulation despite being an older design. I love how his shoulders are designed. Proportionwise, he’s pretty chubby by today’s design standards (especially when compared to the MS from OO). Not that it’s a bad thing, since it has its own charm nonetheless.
As for weapons, he comes with his 240mm cannons, Spray Missile launchers and gun. He has 2 pairs of hands in total: 1 pair with articulated fingers, and 1 pair for lying on the ground.

Now, here’s what I like about this kit: there’s a dummy core block included, so that the actual transformable Core Fighter can be displayed separately from Guncannon. There’s a tiny pilot figure inside the dummy’s “cockpit”, actually.
The Core Fighter mounted onto the leg component.
In terms of height, Guncannon’s actually shorter than Freedom by a bit. His head, however, is bigger than Freedom’s…
Overall, I would say that Guncannon’s quite a pleasant surprise. In fact, I kinda like him more than Freedom…

Looking ace there, he looks really really nice also
He is awesome.
The Guncannon is looking pretty interesting there! Lets hope it gets a ver 2.0 upgrade.
I’m kinda thinking of getting 1 or 2 more Guncannons. He’s a pretty fun kit.
Good job on the post and pics, only nub marks as the main prob, keep up the good work!
Nice work there! You seem to have tackled the nub issue with your newer kits, yes?
Sort of.
